A Simple Guide To The Secrets Of The Search Engines
Whilst many Internet Marketers and especially Affiliate Marketers will do whatever they can to make sure that people fear Google as much as possible, it really isn’t something that we need to worry about. It is something that we need to understand more than anything, and keep that knowledge up to date as much as possible, and more than anything, focus on achieving a solid backlink indexing rate.
It is true that affiliate marketers have repeatedly been ‘slapped’ by Google in the past, resulting in individuals being left to cope without income. The key issue, however, is that they would have known what would happen – and could probably have avoided it – if they had properly understood Google’s mission to continually deliver results of high quality to the public.
So, what is the aim of Google? The primary reason for the existence of the Google search engine is to continually deliver high quality search results. To Google, this translates to delivering information, as opposed to dodgy marketing pitches and tactics. This, incidentally, applies as much to AdWords ads as it does to organic results.
Secondly, what powers Google and makes it so incredibly accurate that people continually use their search engine to find content on the web? The search engine is powered by an incredibly complex algorithm – an extensive mathematical equation, so to speak – which serves to measure every page within the Google index against a set of criteria. This then enables them to display the page/s deemed most relevant to the searching person.
Whilst we can never be absolutely certain of what key factors this algorithm considers, what we do know is that a combination of the number of backlinks that you generate, diversity of those backlinks, and keyword placement on page are the biggest key considerations that the search engines refer to when ranking a page.
The main point here is, a large number of PPC advisors, affiliate marketers and more recently also many others competing in the realm of organic seach have suffered the wrath of Google. Had they taken the time to really understand Google’s ultimate goal and the way it works, it would have made a whole lot of difference.
Just a moment’s thought makes it quite clear. A page that continually delivers keyword rich, high quality content with the aim to solve problems, combined with building links of quality to that content and ensuring the highest possible backlink indexing rates, as well as allowing others to use social networks/ bookmarking to link to content will achieve high rankings – and will maintain this ranking whatever Google does. If a page is consistently aimed at delivering nothing but high quality, relevant content to end users, Google will rank them accordingly and ensure that users get access to this content.
